Maybe They Will Sing for Us Tomorrow
By Hammock

So much time has past since I've wrote anything, yet not a lot has happened or changed with me.  The biggest thing is a trip to Cancun this past week that was very relaxing.  Tomorrow I start back to work after ten days off.  It's seemed like an eternity.  I'm not looking forward to the work but at the same time I am.  It's been a weird feeling most of the day.  I've been more nervous about going back to work than I've ever been.  Nervous in the sense of some kind of shit going down that's not good.  Oh well, I guess we'll see.  My car did get a computer put in it so that'll be awesome.  Anyways, I really don't have much to say, not on here anyways.  I have been reflecting on me and stuff a lot lately, but sorry, cause I don't much feel like sharing that.  Besides, my random scattered thoughts are confusing sometimes I'm guessing....right?  Well, I'll try to provide more insight or a story or pictures or something soon enough.  I don't sleep well at night and seem to stay up through most hours of the night as of lately.

I did however discover a "new" band.  They are new to me but not new at all.  Hammock.  Very very good background chilling hanging out music.  Or if you just feel like driving and thinking and spacing out, also the pick you want.

Surprisingly I ended up getting off when asked after all and me and Hal went down to see Warner and Steph this last weekend.  It was good times, good to see friends I never get to.  One night we even went out with Aaron and Liz.  That night was very much enjoyed where I had some awesome onion rings and blackened alligator.  I might have also had nine jager bombs, but the food was excellant as was the company.  Steph is hanging in there great and fun times were had.

Work is fine and dandy.  Had a pursuit not long ago with a stolen car.  It was fun.  I did indeed recover the vehicle, just not the people in it that bailed and since I'm no sprinter and was a little ways off when they bailed, they were not caught.  There's always a next time.

Life recently has been filled with deep thoughts and reflection lately.  Things just seemed jacked up and different these days.  Some nights like tonight I lay here in bed and feel as if there is to much shit going on around me and within me, but yet I'm bored a lot.  Maybe it's distractions from the truth I want, as some would believe.  I tend to think I'm on the go so much at work that when I'm off I need something to make me feel like that too.  I'm all the time wanting to do something but there isn't a lot to do really.  Not at the hours I want to do them and everything.

I did go see Underoath last night.  I didn't really feel like going, but I'm really glad I did.  It was very much enjoyed and I'm really looking forward to their new cd coming out the first of September.  And speaking of new music, I got the new Coldplay cd and wasn't impressed at first, but now I'm pretty sure I love it.

Anyways, there's a little in the mind of Kasey for the evening.  I'll stop there before revealing to much of me.  Ha.

Lest We Forget: The Best of Marilyn Manson

So since my last was I've been well as usual.  I got five days off to try and catch up on some sleep, and it was glorious.  Went to Van Buren to watch Brett and Melissa get married.  Then I ventured up North to all those northern cities to partake in activities with friends.  Stayed in Bentonville, went to a Naturals/Travelers baseball game and got to hear two gay dudes a couple rows behind me commentate the WHOLE game, every play.  It was kinda funny, but annoying.  Except when they talked about how mmbop by hanson is an awesome song and by talked I mean a good 2 to 3 minute conversation about it.  That part was great.  Anyways, went to a place called Gentry to a wilderness safari type thing.  There I played with a spider monkey, pet a baby tiger, and cuddled with a kangeroo.  I also made a HUGE buffalo mad at me I think, but he'll live.  That place was pretty awesome.

Anyways, after my five days off, I was ready for some work.  This week has been nice and I've felt good about work every day, not exhuasted.  I think my little break was much needed.  I also am trying to give up one of my nights working at the Pilot.

Summer heat has arrived and I love it.  It's awesome minus the goofy cop tan which consist of basically my face and arms from the elbow down.  And....my left arm being more tan than my right.  I'll try to adjust that on my days off (yeah right).

I didn't get off for when I wanted to go see Warner and Steph, but I'm shooting for a weekend in August now.  Let's hope this time goes a little better, cause last time I would've gotten off but a different Sgt. didn't know I had already requested off and so he let another guy off.

This is my Friday.....I might have to go to the movies twice here soon.  Wanted is definetly the next movie I see.....but then you have Wall-E that is out as well.  Wanted wins though, don't worry.

Welp.....see ya later.

I can already tell my attitude towards life and people has changed quite a bit since becoming a cop.  I've never been one to get worked up or excited in situations or care really about a lot of things, but now it's even worse.  There is so much that I hear about going on with people around me that I really just don't care about.  Don't get me wrong, it's not like the "who gives a shit, it's not my problem and if it doesn't concern me than I don't care" type of thing.  It's more like, if their situation was my situation I still wouldn't care I don't think.   I still laugh when some of the people closest to me still don't get it when it comes to what I do and who I am.  I don't guess I blame them in a way, but then when some people ask me stuff about my job or how I feel about something, I can't believe they would ask such a dumb question or think that I would think something other than I do.  I don't know.  I just felt like postings tonight and it seems it's one of those rambling nights.

I lost my long train of thought, that sucks.

My weekends never and I do mean never last long enough.  I love my job, it just wears me down working so much.  I do believe some longer weekends are in my near future.  Next month I'm thinking about taking off two extra days to see Warner and Skeletor.  If that doesn't work out, Mt. Magazine's new lodge thing is in the running for a weekend retreat with the lady.

Got my new department issued gun.  I bought a light and laser to go on it.  Yes, it's bad ass and I love it.

The projects around the house aren't moving along as fast as I have hoped and wanted, not to mention the weeds in the yard now make it appear like I live in the freaking jungle, which would only be cool if there were tigers and monkeys and stuff around, and there isn't, mostly just moths and mosqitoes.  Oh well, Izzy does enjoy navigating through the new maze, and I don't mean Indian corn....or is that Mexican, oh well.  This week has brought way to much lack of sleep already from court early mornings to late night off duty work.  I did get half of me and Hals vacation finally booked.  We're going to Cancun in October assuming we're both around and all.  But back to the work issue, I was in my uniform 17 hours today and that's wayyyy to many.  But I get to sleep in till normal time tomorrow, it shall be so wonderful.  And if someone else works Cana food store for Mike who is out of town doing some training, then I can even go to the Plu show, which would be awesome.  Anyways, I suppose I'm gonna try to get some shut eye.  Ye take care now, aye?
